For more than eleven years, Elizabeth has worked as a Special Educator in a variety of inclusion settings with children, teenagers and adults. One of her life's passions is facilitating people's growth towards independence. Elizabeth has developed her yoga teaching technique to service children with Autistic Spectrum disorders, anxiety, and other developmental concerns. She uses yoga as a vehicle for learning life skills.
Through yoga, Elizabeth is able to address many specific areas of need including self-regulation, sensory integration, relaxation, motor-planning, self-awareness, social thinking, language stimulation, and self-esteem. She uses stories, games and music to make yoga engaging and meaningful to her students.
